Speed Probes

Rowe Hankins Ltd has developed a wide range of standard and bespoke speed
probes for specific customers and applications.

Our involvement in speed measurement began in 1996 with recognition that UK traction customers had a need for such products, becoming agents for Airpax.

To meet the needs of a rapidly changing, safety conscious rail market, we began to design and manufacture our own range of speed probes that exactly matched customer specifications, for example the RHC-ME10AF-071 for the LUL, Jubilee Line London. This unit is still in service and recently passed 10 million working hours MTBF.

Speed probe technology and engineering has evolved rapidly and we now offer
push-pull, TTL, open collector and supply tracking outputs in both single and
dual-channel, uni-directional and bi-directional probes.

RHL has developed and expanded into a complete design, manufacturing, test and distribution company with numerous ongoing world-wide projects.

We seek to provide solutions to customer needs that cannot be met elsewhere – as we believe that if one customer has a specific requirement then this must also be a need looking for a solution elsewhere in the rail industry
