Rowe Hankins Win Contract to Manufacture and Supply Speed Sensors for the New York Metro.
Rowe Hankins has won an extension order from Thales to supply Dual Speed Sensors for the second phase of the R211 New York Metro upgrade, continuing its role in the fleet's CBTC modernisation programme.

UK-based manufacturer Rowe Hankins Limited
announced that they had been successful in
winning an extension order from Thales for the
R211 New York Metro.
The Dual Speed Sensor will be used as part of an overhaul
of the underground & overground system network. The
Class R211 fleet is continuing its overhaul programme,
this is its 2nd phase. Rowe Hankins were successful in
winning the first phase and this is a continuation of the
work. The overhaul project is part of a larger upgrade to
the fleet with CBTC (Communication Based Train Control).
Rowe Hankins Sales Director Mark Nolan added,
