Precision Friction Control
The Top of Rail Friction Modifier (ToRFM) system is an intelligent trainborne solution engineered to optimise the friction between the wheel and rail. By applying a controlled amount of friction modifier directly to the top of the rail, the system reduces curve squeal, minimises rail corrugation, and decreases wheel and rail wear without compromising traction or braking performance.
Designed for heavy rail, metro, tram, and light rail applications, ToRFM improves ride quality, extends asset life, and reduces maintenance requirements. When combined with Intelligent Wheel Flange Lubrication (iWFL), it delivers a complete wheel–rail friction management solution for modern railway networks.
