Brazil - Sau Paulo Metro J Fleet upgrade included the Rowe Hankins Speed Sensor to replace OEM Equipment. Working with our Engineering Team, we offered a new product to prevent obsolescence in the future.
Greater Manchester-based electronics manufacturer Rowe Hankins Ltd (RHL) can confirm it has won an export order to supply Speed Sensors to Sao Paulo Metro in Brazil.
Having worked in coordination with the Metro company RHL developed a Speed Sensor in line with the specific requirements for this overhaul project for the J fleet that operates on the Blue & Green lines. These lines are essential as they operate through financial centre of Sao Paulo.
Tariq Latif, Chief Engineer at RHL, said: “We designed a speed sensor, produced drawings and obtained the go ahead to be specified for this project.”
Once agreed, Sau Paulo Metro went to tender based on this specification. The winner of the supply tender was MEG who have now placed the order with RHL and production is now taking place.
Mark Nolan, Commercial Director at RHL, said: “This is a great win for the company and UK manufacturing. The world is getting smaller for sure for our company. This is proven by our developing partnerships across the globe. I am humbled by wins from major clients in each continent.
“We will always strive to innovative, produce a quality product at a competitive cost. I thank Sao Paulo Metro for the partnership and I hope this lasts long into the future.”
