Non-Intrusive Current Monitoring (NIC)
Preventative current monitoring for wayside maintenance applications
Our Non-Intrusive Current Monitor (NIC) is designed for use within preventative maintenance systems on wayside applications. The unit allows AC and DC currents to be measured without direct electrical connection, enabling current monitoring to be implemented without disruption to existing installations.
By providing continuous current measurement and trend data, the NIC supports early identification of equipment degradation. This allows targeted maintenance to be carried out before failures occur, helping to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset reliability.

Key Features

Non-Intrusive Measurement
Measures AC and DC current without direct electrical connection, allowing monitoring to be added without modifying existing circuits.

Preventative Maintenance Support
Enables early detection of abnormal current behaviour, supporting condition-based maintenance before equipment failure occurs.

Wayside Application Ready
Designed for use in wayside environments as part of preventative maintenance and asset monitoring systems.

Standard 4–20 mA Output
Provides a scaled analogue output compatible with monitoring and data logging equipment.

Trend Analysis Capability
Supports long-term data collection and analysis to identify gradual performance degradation and emerging faults.
